Traditional silhouettes have been spotted up and down 2023's red carpets so far, in the form of the double-breasted blazer. Far from the stuffy construction that saw the double-breasted suit fall out of favour for decades, the retro favourite is back with modern touches like oversized peak satin lapels seen on the likes of Austin Butler and Harry Styles, giving the construction a fresh edge. Navy was favoured by the likes of Peter Gould and Domhnall Gleeson at the Golden Globes, the former experimenting with the hue in velvet, the latter in smart ultra dark navy, and Ke Huy Quan's BAFTA look incorporated shades of blue in a variety of luxe textures, too.
